Tasting Notes
On the nose: roasted coffee, Madeira-like undertones, hazelnut shell, resin, lovage. On the palate, a very fine, balanced, round style is evident, centred on melted, mild, pronounced fruit, embedded tannin, with a roasted, ripe spiciness on the palate, integrated acidity, slightly mineral-tinged, juicy finish. Archetypal in its medium-bodied, elegant style. Almost Pinot Noir-like in its structure and slightly sweet aromatic tones. There is also the typical light hardness of the vintage.
