The red wine Scrio Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby with a slight purple tinge. Fragrant nose with notes of violets and black cherries, underpinned by subtly spicy components, lots of cardamom. On the palate there is a lot of fresh fruit initially, then opens with grippy, but somewhat large tannins in the core, still quite rough on the finish.
