Tasting Notes
Strong ruby garnet with purple reflections, a delicate ochre touch and broad rim lightening. A smoky, intense nose of black berry jam, sour cherries and hints of mint and eucalyptus. The palate is juicy, majoring on black berries and liquorice, with silky tannins and a fine chocolate touch on the finish that lingers very long. Has great elegance, still top of its class.
More about the tastingMedium ruby garnet, violet reflections, broad rim brightening. Intense herbal spice, tobacco and nougat notes, clear hint of maturity, delicate hints of Madeira. Juicy, but somewhat deliquescent, already showing its age, subtle extract sweetness on the finish, delicate aged aftertaste, somewhat dry and lemony, a very mature bottle.
More about the tastingStrong, bright ruby garnet, delicate edge brightening, very discreetly undercoated, fresh heart cherry note on the nose underlaid by fine spicy notes, delicate leafy hints, full-bodied on the palate, very present tannins that are not yet fully rounded, also some dried fruit, seems to be on the way to an aromatic transformation, full-bodied, some black tea, at the moment with a delicately dry finish.
