The red wine Oreno, vintage 2003 from the winery Tenuta Sette Ponti has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, rich ruby. Very intense and clear nose, not a trace of cooked notes that one would expect from such a hot vintage, but fresh and vivid, ripe, dark berries. Surprisingly fresh on the palate too, showing plenty of gripping, full-bodied tannins as it progresses, still appearing extremely young.
