The red wine »G«, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingut Gesellmann has been rated in 2013 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties St. Laurent, Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections. Smoky spiciness underlying black berry fruit, ripe plum, fine blackberry confit, a hint of orange zest and spices, pleasant balsamic note. Juicy, fruity, ripe cherry fruit, full-bodied, sweet tannins that give the wine great length, fine nougat on the finish, elegant and fresh despite all its power. It is an outstanding food wine.
