Deep dark ruby, opaque core, violet glints, faintly brighter at the rim. Intense dark berries, pleasant savoury high-grade wood, a hint of fig and dark chocolate, underlaid with candied tangerines. Powerful, complex, dark fruit, ripe plums and cherries, well-integrated, ripe tannins, salty-mineral finish. Persistent, good ageing potential.
