The red wine »Kalkmergel« Bissersheim Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Sour cherry and rosehip on the nose, with subtle use of wood, oat flakes and some gradually emerging herbal tones in the glass. It's plump and supple on the palate with very fine tannins that are medium-bodied in density. Finishes somewhat sluggish.
