The crémant Bouvet Instinct Saumur AOP Vintage Extra Brut, vintage 2020 from the winery Bouvet Ladubay has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser, Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach, Ulrich Sautter, Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler, Gerhild Burkard, Romana Echensperger with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay from the region Saumur in France.
Pale yellow in colour with a persistent mousse. Complex bouquet with aromas of quince jelly, Williams pear, apple leaves, fennel seeds and saffron, plus toast and brioche. Deep, flavoursome and decidedly dry on the palate, with juicy, fresh acidity, a creamy mousse and vinous character. Minerality and flavour add depth. A first-class crémant that can be enjoyed on its own or with food.
