The crémant Bouvet »Zéro« Saumur Vintage Extra Brut, vintage 2019 from the winery Bouvet Ladubay has been rated in 2024 by Gerhild Burkard with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay from the region Saumur in France.
Brilliant golden yellow with green reflections. An expansive nose with aromas of ripe golden parmaine, preserved lemons with nuances of fresh shortcrust pastry and tobacco. Delightful, tangy acidity, fine foam paired with plenty of sustance and mouthfeel ensure a taut pull on the palate. The long finish is characterised by mineral notes and a noticeable use of wood, which stands up wonderfully to strong flavoured dishes.
