Tasting Notes
Dark ruby colour, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. Delicately tobacco-like, dark berry fruit, a hint of dried fruit, chocolate flavour. Juicy, lively, ripe heart cherry, ripe tannins, good freshness, already well developed, a versatile, full-bodied food companion with length and further certain ageing potential. More fun at the moment than the more highly rated 2009. (PM, drinking, ageing +15, tasted Sept. 2025).
