Tasting Notes
Medium ruby, good depth of colour, broader brightening on the rim. Delicately vegetal, dark caramel, fine roasted aromas, somewhat brittle tannins, but equipped with convincing sweetness on the finish, some toffee in the aftertaste, unfortunately not quite a perfect bottle, which would have been a lot of fun without the faint cork taint.
More about the tastingStrong carmine garnet, good depth of color, medium edge brightening. Fine, inviting bouquet on the nose, delicate notes of honey and wax, pleasant wild berry jam, exotic spices, a hint of cedar wood and essential oils. Juicy on the palate, full of sweet fruit, elegant, present tannins, hints of dark berries, carried by a fresh acidity structure, offers harmonious drinking pleasure. (2011/trinken/+15)
More about the tastingStrong carmine garnet in colour. An inviting bouquet shows delicate notes of honey and wax, plus wild berries, exotic spices, cedar wood and essential oils. Juicy on the palate and full of sweet fruit matched by elegant, vivid tannins. The core of dark berries is supported by a fresh acidity structure. Offers harmonious drinking pleasure, although not quite as expressive in the single bottle as it once was.
