Tasting Notes
Dark crimson garnet, violet core, ruby red reflections, delicate ochre rim. Fine truffle aromas on the nose, notes of licorice and caramel, balsamic hints, very seductive bouquet. Firm texture on the palate, with a delicate dried fruit note underneath, the powerful tannins still dominate, savory fruit in the finish, full-bodied and extract-sweet in the finish, opens up wonderfully. A really great, multi-layered Richebourg, a prime example of a great Pinot Noir, has definite ageing potential. (cellar/+30)
