The red wine La Tâche Grand Cru AOC Monopole, vintage 2009 from the winery Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has been rated in 2016 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Cote de Nuits in France.
Deep ruby with purple reflections and a subtle watery rim. On the nose, a touch of candied orange zest, preserved cherry, rose, pleasant fine oak spice, fresh blackberry and subtle hints of liquorice and violets. The complex, full-bodied palate is juicy with great length, perfectly integrated tannins and black cherry and ripe sour cherry notes. Mineral and persistent with a finish that lingers for minutes, this has great ageing potential. (Store/Drink +50).
More about the tastingAmazingly dark. Ripe fruit, black cherries with a hint of violets and cassis de bourg. Rose petals. Compact and pronounced in fruit on the palate, silky without a hint of bitterness, persistent, profound finish.
