Tasting Notes
Rich, deep crimson, ruby reflections, broad ochre rim. Delicately smoky underlying black berry fruit nuances, blackberry, nuances of roasted aromas, some chocolate, notes of mint and a hint of truffles, multi-faceted aroma, opens up well with aeration. On the palate a firm backbone, dark berry again, fresh acidity, vivid silky tannins, some nougat, mineral, long lasting and full of finesse. It has now slightly passed its drinking peak after 25 years, but is still a model La Tâche. (drink/store +20).
