The red wine La Tâche Grand Cru AOC Monopole, vintage 1999 from the winery Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has been rated in 2016 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Cote de Nuits in France.
Deep ruby with purple reflections and a subtle watery rim. There is an inviting sweetness to the bouquet with aromas of fine wild berry fruit, a touch of raspberry pulp and ripe cherry. The palate is powerful with taut, firm tannins, good acidity and nuanced caramel and mocha on the finish. Showing great class, this certainly has the potential for further ageing.
