The red wine Scrio Syrah, vintage 2013 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense ruby with hints of purple. Initial appealing aromas of sweet fruit, raspberry compote and blueberries with cardamom notes in the background. Clear and precise on the palate with lots of juicy fruit, especially blueberry. Opens with tight knit tannins, building up towards a long, sweet and textured finish.
