The franciacorta Cabochon Doppiozero Brut Nature Franciacorta DOCG, vintage 2014 from the winery Monte Rossa has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Brilliant light gold colour. A fragrant and open-hearted nose of roasted hazelnut, also some walnut, long dried citrus, wax, a delicate buttery underlay, it is very complex. On the palate multi-layered and with a rich drive, at the same time very elegant and with an excellent integrated mousse. It has beautiful ripe fruit, and is long with a very salty finish.
