The red wine Auftakt Monarch, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Abthof – Martin Koch has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Monarch from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Intensely fresh fruit, elderberry juice and blackberry, also slightly floral. On the palate it shows with sweet fruit on an oily base, lively acidity, lots of juiciness, light-hearted despite a certain power, fruit-driven, long finish.
