The white wine Auftakt Souvignier Gris, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Abthof – Martin Koch has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Souvignier gris from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Candied orange, strawberry, but also spicy undertones of cinnamon and cardamom. Quite a complex aroma. Full-bodied on the palate, yet juicy and elegant, with a soft base, neat palate fruit and fine acidity leading onto the finish. A very complete white wine with mineral tones and good length.
