Figlmüller opens new Location on Rotenturmstraße
Brioche und Brösel is expanding into a larger space. The new restaurant will soon open its doors at Rotenturmstraße 11, making Wiener Schnitzel and Tafelspitz burgers available on-site.
When you think of schnitzel, you can't go past "Figlmüller". The Figlmüller family has been breading schnitzel since 1905 and is now led by the fourth generation, Hans and Thomas Figlmüller. What began with two locations has grown into a small hospitality group with nine venues. Alongside the classic schnitzel restaurants, the portfolio includes "Café am Dom", the "figls" pub in Grinzing and the Mediterranean-inspired concept "Figoletta ", which opened last year. And then there is "Brioche und Brösel", the Viennese answer to the burger trend.
From street food stand to permanent location
In 2023, Hans and Thomas Figlmüller introduced something new to Vienna: with "Brioche und Brösel", the schnitzel empire brought its classic – Wiener Schnitzel and Tafelspitz – to the world of street fast food. Veal schnitzel meets a brioche bun, onion marmalade, parsley mayo, salad, and pickled lemon and becomes the Wiener schnitzel burger. Those looking for something different can opt for the Tafelspitz Burger (boiled beef burger), freaturing sous-vide boiled beef, chive sauce, apple horseradish, root vegetables, potato straws and fresh horseradish. Following the success of the street food stand over the past three years, the traditional schnitzel dynasty is now taking the next step: the small stand is becoming a fully fledged restaurant. The new Brioche und Brösel will soon open its doors directly at Rotenturmstraße 11.
