The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 1967 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points.
Rich garnet red with an orange rim. Very clear and inviting nose of sea buckthorn, fresh cherry, tea and red orange. Very juicy and fresh on the palate, grippy tannins in many layers, very well integrated, shows fine salty notes, vibrating tension, very long and fine.
