The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC, vintage 2013 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Bright ruby red, with a slight brightening on the rim. Very clear and precise nose, beautiful ripe cherry notes, plum, blood oranges, some wild raspberries, candle wax, fine savoury notes. Grippy, lovely finely meshed tannins, wonderful tension, polished and long, juicy, bright fruit on the finish.
