The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 2009 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points.
Bright ruby with a slightly pale rim. Very clear and precise on the nose, raspberry cream and cherries, fine spices, especially white pepper, exciting. Firm, very well-placed tannins, lots of fine texture in between, rich notes of chocolate and raspberries, lots of plums, very long finish.
