The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 2001 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points.
Bright ruby with a brightening rim. Aromas of ripe cherry and plum on the nose, some tobacco, earthy tones in the background. Very good tension, grippy tannins, salty, goes nicely into the depths, somewhat drying on the finish.
