The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 2008 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points.
Clear, intense ruby with a slightly light rim. Slightly cloudy on the nose, of tomatoes, damp stones and lots of cloves. Quite bold tannins on the palate, sandy, dries out on the finish.
