Clear, rich garnet red. Aromas of rosewood, preserved cherry and plum, plus fine dark chocolate. Full-bodied on the palate, lots of warm, ripe fruit, builds up rich drive, very well-integrated tannins, similar in many ways to the 1967, only considerably younger in all components.
