The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 2007 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points.
Clear ruby with a slightly brightening rim. Intense and dense nose, very inviting, full of ripe plum, pickled cherry and chocolate. Beautiful interplay between dense, fine-meshed tannins and sweet texture, still very young, but great components, just needs additional ageing.
