Tasting Notes
Dark ruby purple reflections, subtle ochre brightening on the rim. A hint of undergrowth and tapenade on the nose, needs some air to transform the savouriness into fruit, subtle oxidative nuances, ripe plums, nougat, later cassis and mint, candied tangerine peel. Medium-bodied, fruity texture, blackberry confit, ripe tannins, chocolatey finish, deep and long. A full-bodied food wine, mineral and persistent, much more convincing on the palate than on the nose, although the finish is also somewhat dry here. Seems older than it is. (drink, until 2040).
More about the tastingDeep ruby garnet, violet rim, floral nose, violets, but also sweet notes of wild berries, delicate spicy notes. Juicy on the palate, very fine cherry fruit, lively acidity, very powerful, has a convincing smoothness, red berry fruit on the finish, very good length.
