Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate watery rim. Subtle touch of precious wood, tobacco savouriness, still shy at first, background with fine dark forest berry confit, needs air to reveal itself, notes of preserved cherries and candied orange zest. Complex, fine sweetness in the texture, taut, fine savoury tannins, some nougat on the finish, has great length, ripe blackberries and cherries in the aftertaste, some gingerbread in the finish, peppery touch, convincing finish, certain ageing potential. (2030 - 2065).
More about the tastingDark ruby, purple reflections, discreet bright rim. Herbal-spicy-tobacco layered under ripe cherry fruit, a hint of liquorice, some cassis, floral touch, attractive bouquet. On the palate almost opulent fruit extract, layered with robust alcohol fire and fine, supporting tannins, harmonious, still fruit accentuated on the finish, very good length, another very successful Figeac of the new coinage.
