Tasting Notes
Compared to the great vintages, the 2011 is noticeably more restrained. The nose is initially dominated by grassy-green notes, the fruit appears less clearly contoured, more implied than precisely defined. Aromas of plum, green pepper, mint and dried herbs combine with clearly perceptible mocha and coffee tones. These roasted aromas appear somewhat superficial in places and dominate the finish, while the fruit recedes noticeably in the aftertaste.
