Tasting Notes
The wine is hearty on the nose and the aromas initially seem spilled. Slowly, notes of wild plum, wild cherry, cranberry, chalk and a floral hint of peony emerge. On the palate the wine is gripping, with a surprisingly vivid acidity for a warm vintage, which currently dominates the action. The fruit remains in the background here, appearing restrained, almost withdrawn. The texture, on the other hand, is melty and finely polished. The wine is clearly in a closure phase at the moment, the overall impression remains difficult to access.
