The sweet and dessert wine Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC, vintage 1997 from the winery Rocca di Montegrossi has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Malvasia from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Shiny, medium intensity amber. Attractive mix of date, dried fig and liquorice, some coffee grounds, appears very vivid and young. Can't quite maintain the tension on the palate, lots of dried fig, but a little short compared to the others, alcoholic aftertaste.
