The red wine Ridolfo Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Rocca di Montegrossi has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Pugnitello
Rich, deep, dark ruby-violet. Opens with notes of smoke and cigars, plus some pepper and cardamom. Lots of rich blackberry fruit provides depth. It shows firm, well-placed tannins on the palate, which opens up in many layers of fresh, crisp fruit. A fair bit of drive at the back end of the palate, and still a little rough on the finish.
