The red wine Comondor, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Anita und Hans Nittnaus has been rated in 2014 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Blaufränkisch from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections and a touch of edge brightening. Dark forest berry jam with a hint of orange zest, wood nuances, herbs and a mineral touch. Complex on the palate with a core of juicy berry fruit giving pleasant extract sweetness, matched by vivid, well-integrated tannins and a fresh structure. Shows good length, feeling already developed, and will benefit from further bottle ageing.
