The sekt Chardonnay extra brut, vintage 2010 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 - 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay
Lemon yellow in colour. An opulent Chardonnay on the nose: candied cedar lemon, champagne-like yeasty notes, a touch of wood, lime blossom. On the palate the wine has a generous and substantial structure, the mousse is rather discreet in its dynamism, almost creamy in texture, the acidity seems hearty, lingers long and gives the wine a compact, pithy finish. A sparkling wine for dinner.
