The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 1986 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points.
Clear, rich garnet red. Very intense and inviting nose, full of cranberry, ripe cherry fruit, very lively, with a slight hint of cardamom and other spices. Spreads very well on the palate, round and supple, velvety fullness, opens up with very well-integrated tannins, long and juicy, very good drive.
