The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 1994 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points.
Brilliant, rich ruby-garnet colour. Opens with notes of iodine, dried porcini mushrooms, quite closed overall. Shows very good tension on the palate, salty, grippy tannins with very good length, fine cherry, lingers for a long time.
