The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 1995 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points.
Bright, rich ruby-garnet colour. Aromas of tar and liquorice, dried tomato, lots of umami, salty. Also shows pronounced salty notes on the palate, hearty, gripping tannins, good ripe fruit, lots of dark plum, long finish.
