The red wine Cuvée Wilhelm, vintage 2014 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Laurent from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The nose is powerful and animalistic. The cuvée of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent reveals nuances of tomato puree and sour cherries, although the wine is more on the savoury side. There is also a note of vanilla and oyster plant. On the palate, it is still extremely fresh and has a delicate spiciness that makes it very tasty.
