The red wine Il Blu IGT, vintage 1998 from the winery Brancaia has been rated in 2015 with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Complex, mature bouquet: dried fig, chocolate powder, herbs (thyme, coriander). Lots of suppleness, soft and round, full of charm and flexibility, great volume, almost imperceptible tannin, which nevertheless exerts drive. Completely silky in its maturity and completely without corners, but also remains elastic and cool. Very persistent in the mineral component. A wine that is impressive in its richness and yet elegant, fresh and juicy, with subtle acidity, delicately increasing into a red berry finish full of freshness.
