The red wine Il Blu IGT, vintage 2000 from the winery Brancaia has been rated in 2015 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Herbal notes that still seem young. White pepper, almost Fernet-Branca, but also small red berries, cranberry. A little bit cooked. Soft and melted on the palate, round presence, crumbly, fine tannin, subtle acidity, juice and playfulness in maturity. Medium length, charming wine, now ready to drink. Mineral finish.
