The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva, vintage 1988 from the winery Dal Forno Romano has been rated in 2005 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Corvina from the region Veneto in Italy.
Bright garnet; wonderfully ripe notes on the nose, pickled peach, a hint of leather, rum pot fruit; enormously rich and voluminous on the palate, opens with fine fruity sweetness, plums, still very young, impressively long finish.
