The red wine Scrio Syrah IGT, vintage 2011 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2014 with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep dark ruby purple colour. Opens with pronounced savoury notes of cedar and spruce, also lots of rosemary, followed by cranberries, blackberries and dark pepper. Shows a lot of grippy, vivid tannin, an exciting mixture of spices, cardamom and juniper, long and savoury, vibrant.
