Tasting Notes
Lovely smoke, a touch of tar, a hint of pepper and also the merest hint of grilled green pepper are open and aromatic on the nose. The palate has an incredible intensity of tart but dark berry: imagine crushed blackberry or baked, slightly caramelised redcurrant. The tannins are fine but bold, resolving now, but underlined with lovely, bright fresh berry despite the evolution on the nose, this has only just got going. Glorious, natural freshness pervades all. The finish comes with a slight pepperiness and more smoke and a real graphite finish. The nose is evolved, the palate is youthful and fresh.
