Tasting Notes
Intense ruby, purple reflections, slightly watery rim. Quite restrained on the nose, with dark berries, mineral undertones, ripe cherry and a subtle leafy savouriness. Good complexity, still showing hints of young fruit, harmonious tannins, fine acidic structure, notes of blackberry and a touch of nougat on the very long finish. Unfortunately it has all but disappeared from the market and most wine lists. Fresh and very approachable. (store/drink +20)
