Tasting Notes
Just a hint of blackcurrant leaf on the nose with the slightest edge of smoke, all very subtle. The palate is much lighter, the tannins are fine, but they feel more like a caress. They are drying but feel like chiffon. The fruit seems darker, more brooding, intense. There also is a hint of savoury, dried yarrow, subtle but nonetheless fragrant. Layer upon layer of full-flavoured subtlety reveals itself, slowly, gently, evocatively, beguilingly, grippingly. A lovely, long echo.
