Tasting Notes
Medium ruby-garnet in colour, with purple reflections and a watery rim. Dark berry jam with a fine spicy-tobacco background on the nose. There's some delicately nutty notes too, as well as a hint of lovage, dried fruit and chocolate. The palate is complex and powerful but not opulent - pronounced in fruit depth, showing a very youthful and vivid acid structure, which is once again the point of this wine. Blackberries are to the fore, with some very well integrated tannins in support en route to the mineral-salty, sweet finish where cherries (heart and sour) abound. A great food companion, with further development potential.(Store/drink +25).
