Tasting Notes
Strong crimson garnet, good depth of colour, delicate brightening on the rim. Hints of goudron and cloves, a fine Florentine touch, reminiscent of the 1945 Mouton. Immensely textural, chocolaty, full of cold smoke and nougat, fruity and as infinitely long as one would hope. Great ageing potential.
More about the tastingMedium ruby-garnet color with delicate undertones. Initially intense kitchen vegetables, celery, parsley root, some cold smoke, malty nuances, dried orange zest, develops in a Florentine direction. Juicy, rich texture, flexes its muscles, fine acid structure, chocolaty tannins, fine mocha touch, sticks well, can gain weight in the glass, juicy cherry fruit on the finish, sweet and long, has great future potential.
